Biography

Rony Kumer Saha is an Associate Professor at BRAC University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He was a Visiting Professor at Stanford University in 2023 and a Research Engineer/Postdoctoral Fellow at KDDI Research, Inc., Japan (2017-2022). With about 15 years of research in mobile wireless communications, he has published over 75 peer-reviewed papers. His research interests include coexistence and spectrum sharing between 4G LTE and 5G NR; ultra-dense HetNets; spectrum sharing in licensed/unlicensed bands; and terahertz/millimeter-wave communications. He served on the Fronthaul Working Group at the xRAN Forum (2018) and chaired sessions at IEEE VTC Fall 2019 in Honolulu and at IEEE Dynamic Spectrum Access Networks 2019 in Newark. Since 2019, he's been an Associate Editor for the Engineering Journal-Thailand and reviews for IEEE, Elsevier, Wiley, and Springer journals. He has supported many International Academy, Research, and Industry Association (IARIA) conferences as a technical program committee member, panelist, steering committee member, or tutorial speaker. Recognized for his scientific research, peer endorsement, and leadership at IARIA conferences, he was named an IARIA Fellow in Fall 2021/Winter 2022. He holds a B.Sc. in electrical and electronic engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology; an M.Eng. in information and communications technologies from the Asian Institute of Technology; and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Chulalongkorn University.
